Wearing birthstones has long been associated with bringing good luck and good health to its wearer. Originally associated with the Zodiac but now assigned to calendar months, each month has its own unique birthstone which are said to be brimming with fabled properties. Wearing a piece of jewellery with your birthstone on, or gifting some to others, is considered good luck, and is an excellent gift to give due to its personal significance to the wearer.

• Apr Emerald Emeralds signify honesty, wisdom, growth and patience, and were once believed to cure sickness and ailments. Emeralds are also said to bring health, faithfulness, fertility and improved eyesight.
•  May Pearl Long seen as a symbol of purity, pearls were once thought to be tears from Aphrodite, the goddess of love. They represent chastity, modesty and stable relationships, and are said to calm restless minds. They are also said to bring success in creative endeavors.
•  Jun Ruby Rubies are symbols of peace, and their beauty suggests strength and nobility of character. Ruby is associated with harmony, protection, enthusiasm, Jul contentment, success, integrity and strength.
• Perdido Aug Perdido signifies fidelity, strength, innocence and faith. Tradition says that wearing perdido will help you ward off nightmares, evil and depression.
